  1. I’ve installed the plug-in, along with all my Amazon codes, but I can’t get anything to display using the shortcodes. I’m just trying to display a single item in an post. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    1. Sorry Bryan

      A few things might help:

Make sure you are using the latest version of the plug-in.
Make sure you have activated the plug-in after installing
When you add the shortcode, use the “HTML” tab in your dashboard (as opposed tot he “Visual” tab) to be sure you don’t have any invisible code within it. Copy and pasting from this site may result in extra code being pasted in!
If it still doesn’t work, and you have a URL of the page you are trying to add, lest me know and I will try to look at it.

      Good luck

      1. Good to hear from you. Yes, I have the latest version and it’s enabled. I tried creating new Access keys, but that didn’t help, either. I’m trying to insert a single product, so while in HTML mode I inserted this code at the bottom of the post: [az_easel item="B000R3PDK2"]

But nothing is displayed and there is no trace of it when I view the source. Here’s the link:

Do I need to install the “Affiliate Easel Search widget” (it seems to be optional)? Is there a directory that needs certain permissions? I can’t think of anything else to do. Help!

I figured it out. Your web server is giving the wrong universal time (GMT). You need to contact your web-host to address this situation. Your server needs to report the correct time or Amazon will consider the request expired.

Your clock said 2011-01-22T14:19:04Z while on of my sites said 2011-01-22T15:21:53Z only a moment later. It at least has to be within a few minutes.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
