Great for kids
This is a great movie for young and old alike. There is a great lesson to be learned by watching this movie.
Rent it if you can or make the purchase, to me it is worth every minute of veiwing.
Mostly OK for tweens
I loved the book and had read it to my kids so we decided to watch the movie. It started like it was going to be a good portrayal of the book but there was a few scenes that were inappropriate. The scene where the boys and the two now-alive toys- the Indian and the cowboy, were watching the risque television show. Totally didn't need to be there, it did not add to the show at all! I thought Patrick was rather a bully type and not much of a friend as he was in the book, so that was a bit of a disappointment. The main character was perfect for the show, he was so believable and so real, there was no Hollywood perfectness about him and that was refreshing.
DVD
Ordered for my husband. He enjoyed the DVD and wanted to have to add to his collection.
Every child's fantasy
I love this movie. This is something every child wished for when they were younger. It's a really cute movie and the guy who plays the Iroquois is HOT!!!
Great Movie!
Theres not a whole lot to say, but it's a good movie! I haven't seen this moving since when I was a kid. I enjoy watching it, very funny at times and very sad at times. But it has good meaning ad is just a great family movie to watch around a fire or a raining day.
The only problem I didn't like, is the audio quality wasn't 5.1, which was a bummer. But through it on 2.1.
